And for what it's worth this is the reason almost everyone that really knows and can feel bike setup, including the old amish guy, would tell you the oem front end of the DS450 had the best front end of any bike. Just the rest of it was a pile! But look at where those ball joints are and you'll see why. Almost identical to the king pin in a semi like Matt was saying earlier.
I've spoke to a factory rider and he commented on how well the front ends work He wanted to keep a spindle set up for his current race bikes but didn't make it happen
