Default New MAXC-WORCS series

Just curious what does everyone think about MAXC and WORCS joining forces for a national series? Seems like it may be an interesting series.

I like it. The WORCS format allows a guy to run multiple classes during the weekend. More racing equals more fun.

That's kind of what I was thinking!

More racing also = more $$$ required to go racing. From what I understood, each day (Saturday/Sunday) is treated separately? Many folks have trouble committing to just one day per weekend, let alone two.

If both days are treated seperately, then only race 1 day. My normal calss of 40+ would run lets say Saturday, but if I wanted to run another class that runs on Sunday I could do that too. I do not see where it would cost more money to go run 1 class. It will afford the opportunity to run multiple classses but it would not be mandatory.

Since the races are also half the time of XC races, does that mean the prices will be half of the normal costs?

I had a buddy that raced works he said it cost twice as much to race plus you had to pay extra to practice. I did plan on trying a race out there but money to fun ratio wasn't there. east coast racers would stomp west coast anyday of the week

Cost for WORCS series around $45-$50 for amateur races and $100 for Pro class.
