Who put on the outlaw races at Rattlesnake Ridge and the other place up there in Taylorsville/Morganton area? They did the team race too?
He may have. I know weather for two of them was pretty bad. But then again, it is winter.

Jim's land got heavily logged this year so the track he made got all messed up. So with the lower turnouts and the extra work involved, I think they're done with winter. Sheila told me they may do a "ride" this winter but that's it.

I look forward to you guys coming to the SORCS races this winter!! Eddie lays out some very good flowing tracks.

Here's a mini breakdown of the tracks:

Sandbox- it's sandy and has a ton of whoops

Fun Run- also has some sandy soil. Sections of the track can get whooped out. Good mixture of roots, some rocks, and tight sections.

Rattler- one of my favorite tracks. Fairly fast. If it rains hard, can become a real mess and tough.

Spartan- my other favorite track. Fast. Mixture of creek crossings, tight sections, rocks. Holds up real well.

Ironman- Tighter, shorter track. A couple of hill climbs. Can be a fast track depending on the layout. Sometimes there is a small gp track incorporated (makes it real fun then!!)

I think it would be awesome. Of course, driving time and distance is a factor. Most of the Mideast guys are in western NC and SC. That's not too bad. But a few of us are in eastern NC and that's a long haul. Closest SORCS race is 5 hours and furthest is well over 6 hours driving.

Unless anything comes up wrong for me, I plan to come to at least one or two. Our first Mideast races are going to be sand tracks so that'll be good to get the old bones and joints ready for 2016.

I did the CAW race and it was tough pouring rain and cold. Which is the problem with winter races weather. The Sorcs are going to be on Sat at 11 to help with travel.
