On Saturday July 10th, 2010 The Southern Ohio Cross Country Series rolls back into Cyco MotorSports in Bainbridge, Ohio.
With the weekend cooling off and a nice chance of rain on friday to knock the dust down, we are expecting great things for round 5. Just a reminder riders, "we run on time, no matter what the conditions"! A few riders assumed we would be behind schedule. They were late and missed the start. Darren Bobb says they have been repairing trails all winter and cutting in new ones and this will be the smoothest track ever at Cyco! Lets hope we have better than usual weather at CYCO! I hope its too late for snow to fly? So grab a few new friends and introduce them to the series. As always, camping is included with your gate fee, so come a day early and stay a day late. Now in its 7th Season(that right 7th) the SOCCS has been enjoying a great reputation as a small but very well organized series in Southern Ohio. These days it seems there are Harescrambles popping up everywhere, but back in 2003 there was only Motocross in the South-central to south-western part of the state. While many have come and gone, with the support of the best riders and fans in the State, we have managed to thrive and grow every year. It has truly been a blessing to spend time with our long extended family. All the info you will need can be found at www.soccracing.com or you can even ask questions at our forums on www.harescrambletalk.com or you can view the flier here http://humboldthills.com/images/2010soccsfliers.jpeg Gates open at 8am and racing starts at 8:45am. Hare scrambles are conducted on marked courses over rugged natural terrain. Events are run for prescribed race time, typically two hours for adults and 45-60 minutes for kids. Competitive riders not only need to be fast, but also physically fit enough to maintain a race pace for hours at a time. Since hare scrambles are conducted on closed courses, operator licenses aren't required and the machines do not need to be licensed for street use. We hope to see you Saturday July 10th! let us know your coming!!!!
